Jomo Kogen Camp Ground

This campground is located on a highland plateau surrounded by mountains on all sides, offering a great sense of openness. It is only 30 minutes from the Shibukawa-Ikaho Interchange on the Kanetsu Expressway, and is famous for its beautiful starry sky. There is also a prefectural astronomical observatory nearby, where you can enjoy full-scale astronomical observation. The campground facilities include spacious tent sites that are terraced to provide a great sense of openness. The bungalows are simple bungalows with high ceilings and hinoki (Japanese cypress) floorboards, made mainly of wood from Takayama Village, and have wooden decks for a comfortable stay. All water facilities at this campground are equipped with hot water, and the attention to detail in the water supply is evident throughout the campground. The open-air baths are available free of charge and are very popular among women.
