A house in the countryside, surrounded by vast farmland. Self-built straw bale house with wheat straw and mud walls. Free Wifi, simple kitchen, and washing machine. Recommended for remote work! Straw Bale House is an eco-friendly house that mostly goes back to nature. The design and construction is all handmade, with a focus on curves and warmth. The thick walls of strawbale also insulate well, making it an eco-friendly house that is cool in summer and warm in winter. In winter, you can also enjoy the soft warmth of the oil chimney stove. Next door is the handmade cafe Suiba. It is an Asian cuisine cafe. Open from January to the end of April. Open for lunch only. Wifi (fiber optic) is available indoors and on the outdoor deck. Toilets, washrooms, and showers are located adjacent to the Tida House. A wooden deck covered with grape trellises has handmade tables and benches, and hammocks for relaxing in the summer. Smoking is allowed on this deck. There is also a lawn in front of the house where you can enjoy barbecue. We have a grill and fire pincers that you can borrow if you need them. There is a family house next door, so if you have any problems, please feel free to ask for help at any time. There is a public hot spring (Fureai Center) in a town about 5 km away. Pets are not allowed indoors, but may be leashed outside. Smoking is not allowed indoors, please smoke on the wooden deck. There is no kitchen, but there is a refrigerator, microwave, cassette stove, toaster, rice cooker, and dishes in the room. Simple cooking is possible. The inn is basically for two people, but if your child is small, he/she can sleep with you. Please note that we cannot provide additional bedding as there is not enough space. Washing machines are not available during the winter months. The nearest laundromat is located in Shari-cho (15 minutes by car).
