-ABOUT US-. This is a quiet campground built in the rice paddies in Ashiboku-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture, with only one campsite per day. You can enjoy the starry sky and bonfires to the fullest. Open only from October to May every year when rice is not being grown. There are no buildings or lights in the surrounding area, and all you can hear is the sound of the river, birds chirping, mountain village scenery, and the beautiful starry sky. The sun sets early in the evening at Campground No. 1 due to the shade of the mountains, but the sun rises early and you can see the sunrise up close. I highly recommend this campground to those who want to have their own unique camping experience.
