-ABOUT US- An elementary school in the mountains of Nara prefecture. The campground is located on the playground there. You can enjoy the old-fashioned schoolhouse and the vast nature of Nara. The experience here is special. It is sure to be a different kind of lodging experience! Please enjoy solo camping in a quiet place surrounded by nature, facing nature in a relaxed atmosphere. Special note The campground is closed in winter (January-February) due to the risk of frozen water. Please note that we may be unmanned depending on the day. In that case, please let us communicate with you by e-mail or phone for check-in. <Please note To get to the playground, walk up a steep slope from the parking lot. It would be convenient if you have a wheeled vehicle or something that can be pushed by hand to carry your luggage. There is a guesthouse on the site, so there may be guests from the guesthouse. In such a case, the restrooms will be shared. The siren will sound around 5:00 p.m. (roughly 5:04 p.m.), sounding like an air raid siren. There is a speaker in the playground, so the sound is quite loud. (I measured it at 110db. We are really sorry for the inconvenience.) The recommended solution by a visitor is to set the alarm to go off about 3 minutes before the siren goes off. Also, the school chimes at 9:00 pm and the melody of "red sweet pea" at 8:00 am.
